Gothic Macro Cannons in Space Engineers | His Divinity on Steam Space Engineers just keeps getting better and better and it’s still in beta.  All these new Warhammer 40k BattleFleet Gothic 3d models are awesome.  They really make some nice replicas of the table into a 3d clone. His Divinity makes some of the coolest BattleFleet Gothic centric 3d mods on steam that I’ve seen.  Very skilled 3d modeler and mod maker for Space Engineers.  I really like the lines of the and Gothic feel.  It gives a nice dark touch to Space Engineers and really invokes the intent of the Gothic sector in Warhammer 40k Now we have usable macro cannons from the Warhammer 40k Battlefleet Gothic Imperial fleet to clang around in Space Engineers.  These are BA and would go excellent on the BFG Cruiser in Space Engineers for some broadside fun. Description from the author A Macro-cannon inspired by Battlefleet Gothic: armada and the Warhammer 40.000 universe. Fully working as a broadside cannon with a large range and decent reload time. Survival and conveyor ready. Its 2 blocks wide, 2 blocks thick and three high. It uses the standard missiles as ammo, to limit ammo-clutter. Check out more of His Divinity on Steam here.

Check Out This Warhammer 40k Battlefleet Gothic Inspired Corvette in Space Engineers

Check Out This Warhammer 40k Battlefleet Gothic Inspired Corvette in Space Engineers I really like the floating Gothic Vatican look of Warhammer 40k, BattleFleet Gothic. Now in Warhammer 40k lore. These ships are kilometers long. With upwards of millions of servitors. This corvette is scaled down appropriately for space engineers and my current processing power( my computer starts choking even with this scale). I tried to stay with the general Gothic styling of the Warhammer 40k, Battlefleet Gothic metaverse. This is by no means a scale or even accurate replica. I took the general philosophy and styling of the imperial fleet ( dark Gothic ).  I adapted it to the constraints of the Space Engineers modeling and physics engine. Apparently the excepted philosophy in imperial space warfare is to break up the enemy formation with front firing missiles or torpedoes. Then charge right through the middle and broadside. This design is an excellent brawler. The front heavy armored ram is several large grid blocks thick Certain variants of this Warhammer 40k Battlefleet Gothic Corvette are excellent battlers and can take several direct hits to the front armored ram. With the gravity cannon variant this Corvette can cut most ships in half with one burst up front.  On each side are 3+ rocket pods for broadsidery. Along with the triple rocket pod turret up front for strafing.   Inertial acceleration is adequate. Since the closest thing to void shields in Space Engineers are the gravity generators at this point. I have also been experimenting with gravity based ore shields for the design. This is still not survival ready. I have to model the interior and seal it up. Then I’ll put up this Warhammer 40k,  BattleFleet Gothic inspired corvette on Steam.  More to come.

Warhammer 40k | Imperial Language Imperium | High Gothic ( Latin )

Warhammer 40k | Imperial Language Imperium | High Gothic ( Latin ) http://s-and-j.co.uk/warhammer/latin/index.html These are Latin phrases I consider particularly suitable for use in Warhammer 40,000. I had been lurking in the newsgroup alt.language.latin for some time when I realised many of the requests for translations were actually from Warhammer 40,000 players.   Also, the same requests were coming up time and time again.  Furthermore, I was seeing translations that, while not related to Warhammer 40K, would be suitable. There are already many websites on the InterNet for Latin translations, so what makes this one different? – the translations are those I feel suitable for use on Warhammer 40K models and buildings; – they are generally short; – they have been translated by people who are confident in their use of Latin; – there are few of the humourous translations (‘eat my shorts’) as they are covered on other websites. Where you see more than one Latin phrase for an English phrase, just choose the one you like the sound of. Tips and suggestions for use: – ALL CAPITALS ARE OK; – A Mix Of Capitals And Lower Case Is OK Too; – or just lower case; – Games Workshop use the letter ‘u’ in Latin, you may svbstitvte ‘v’ if yov wish; – it is YOUR inscription.  I am a great believer that they’re YOUR models to be painted as YOU see fit.  If the tech-marine / grot / grunt / ratling / whatever in the unit is not much of an artist then your models’ paint jobs won’t be either – it ain’t your fault!   (That’s the excuse I use anyway.) Suggestions, comments, corrections, donations – in English, please – to: Latin@s-and-j.co.uk ***  To make it easier of authors, and so for checking reasons, this list is currently sorted by: a) author contact made; b) permission to quote and citation details received; c) author *** *** This will be prettified and go live at the end of July 2002 to, well, here. ***   I have accumulated a few hundred Latin / English phrases suitable for use on Warhammer 40,000 figures, buildings, etc.  This will go on-line in the next few weeks (I am aiming for the end of July 2002) once I am happy with the translations and if the authors are happy with me publishing them. These are Latin phrases I consider particularly suitable for use in Warhammer 40,000. Please note, I do not know Latin myself.  I have merely trawled the ‘net to get these.  The majority of these have been requests for translations in the newsgroup alt.language.latin, either Latin to English or English to Latin.  While lurking in that newsgroup for the last few years I have been recording translations I thought suitable.  I had been lurking in the newsgroup alt.language.latin for some time when I realised many of the requests for translations were actually from Warhammer 40,000 players.   Also, the same requests were coming up time and time again.  Furthermore, I was seeing […]

Warhammer 40k | BattleFleet Gothic | High Gothic Imperial Language ( Latinised )

Warhammer 40k | BattleFleet Gothic | High Gothic Imperial Language ( Latinised ) http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/High_Gothic High Gothic, also called Tech by the Adepts of the Adeptus Mechanicus, is the hieratic tongue of the Imperium of Man, used in the titles of ancient institutions and organisations (such as the Adeptus Terra). It represents an older language than the commonly used Imperial vernacular tongue and is regarded as a sacred tongue since it was the language spoken by the Emperor of Mankind during the era of the Great Crusade in the late 30th Millennium. At that time, the language was simply called “Imperial Terran” or “Imperial Gothic.” In the current Age of the Imperium, High Gothic is the equivalent of the Church Latin used during the mediaeval age of ancient Europe. High Gothic is also known as “Tech” because it is a version of the language in which the technical rituals of the Adeptus Mechanicus and other ancient works are recorded. High Gothic first developed during the Dark Age of Technology on Old Earth before the spread of Mankind to its interstellar colonies. It derives from the common tongue of that time, an assimilation of English, European and Asian-Pacific languages which developed over many centuries in the North American, European and Asian-Pacific regions of Terra. High Gothic was the universal medium of humanity’s written record until the advent of the Age of Strife, and was spoken as a first language by many and as a second language by almost everyone. Its idioms and vocabulary now appear archaic and mystic to the peoples of the present-day Imperium and many of its words have acquired religious significance over the years. It is the language of the Tech-priests of the Adeptus Mechanicus and of forbidden books of heretical and daemonic lore. High Gothic (represented in the game by pseudo-Latinised English) is unintelligible to most Imperial citizens. It is only the language of important Adepts and members of the Inquisition, and even among those who can speak it, it is only a second language. It is used principally in formal situations (such as during pious benedictions by a Priest of the Ecclesiarchy), rather than as a casual language of conversation. Low Gothic, a bastardised, present-day version of High Gothic, is the current common tongue of the Imperium in the late 41st Millennium. Sources Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader by Rick Priestley

http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Imperial_Navy   Imperial Navy Fleets of the Galaxy : Imperial Navy The Imperial Navy fleets are arranged around the five Segmentae Majoris that comprise the Imperium, and are based at the five Segmentum Fortresses. These fleets are named after the Segmentum in which they are based, such as the Warfleet Solar and so on. These fleets are then sub-divided into smaller fleets patrolling individual sectors and subsectors, again they are generally named after the area they are safeguarding, for example Battlefleet Gothic will be protecting the Gothic Sector. Fleet Headquarters Segmentum Solar – Mars Segmentum Pacificus – Hydraphur Segmentum Obscurus – Cypra Mundi Segmentum Tempestus – Bakka Ultima Segmentum – Kar Duniash Fleet Personnel A Navy officer Main article: Imperial Navy Hierarchy The Imperial Navy is headed by the Lord High Admiral of the Imperial Navy who is often one of the High Lords of Terra. He oversees five Segmentum Lord High Admirals. Below the Lord Admirals are various Sector and Battlefleet commanders, then individual ship Captains and junior officers and below them a myriad array of Non-Commissioned Officers. The Imperial Navy has a corps of Commissars that oversee the morale and discipline of Naval personnel, known as the Fleet Commissariat.[6] The Imperial Navy also operates Naval Security Battalions, also known as Naval Armsmen[6]. These consist of units of armed soldiers intended to put down mutinies, board enemy ships, and protect Imperial Navy installations. Typically, Naval Security troopers are equipped with black body armour and shotguns.[4] Vessels Main article: Imperial Navy Vessels (List) The Imperial Navy is composed of a vast array of different types of vessels – from one-man attack fighters to huge Battleships that are many miles long. Battleships Emperor Class Battleship Battleships are huge vessels, with colossal amounts of weapons and shields, and usually serve as the flagship for the Admiral of the Fleet, though this is not always necessarily the case. Although very powerful, battleships are very slow to manoeuvre and cannot react quickly to enemies that rapidly change course. Imperial battleships can have crews of anywhere between 25,000 to 3,000,000 or more depending on sources, including large numbers of Imperial Navy armsmen to defend against enemy boarding assaults. Battleships can be up to 8 kilometres from prow to stern and displace billions of tons. Because they represent such a vast expenditure of resources and require a fairly advanced technical base, these are typically constructed only in the largest shipyards above the major Adeptus Mechanicus Forge Worlds. These vessels are precious assets and are carefully husbanded, usually employed in only larger fleet formations.[2] There are various classes of Imperial Battleship, but the Emperor and more recent Retribution are by far the most common in the Imperial Navy. Apocalypse Class Battleship Emperor Class Battleship – carries an immense amount of attack craft in addition to its normal, incredibly powerful weaponry. Invincible Class Fast Battleship Nemesis Class Fleet Carrier Oberon Class Battleship Retribution Class Battleship – which is noted for its powerful broadside firepower and its very large […]
